According to foreign media reports, the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) and Insilico Medicine Inc. recently discovered the important application of artificial intelligence technology in the field of anti-aging. A technology called GeroScope can compare young cells with older cells in a large amount of data to identify cells that inhibit aging.

It is understood that professional research teams have spent decades investing millions of dollars in research on how to eliminate human aging. Artificial intelligence technology can significantly reduce this time and development costs.

For several years, researchers have relied on the Oncofinder platform for anticancer therapy to learn how to treat cancer, and have designed an algorithm that can compare tissue and healthy cells by tissue samples. Now, scientists have applied similar methods to GeroScope technology.

First, the developer analyzed transcriptome data from a sample of “young” (donors aged 15 to 30 years old) and “older” (donors over 60 years old) (read in DNA and then transcribe RNA), and computer models are used to identify and reconstruct molecular pathways involved in aging (the most common molecular pathways are metabolism and signal transduction). GeroScope technology simulates molecular pathways and analyzes different substances in a variety of cellular reactions, and then uses the new algorithm to screen out 10 substances that can prolong life.

The researchers then placed the 10 substances in the laboratory and used stem cells from human fibroblasts (connective tissue cells) to observe their regeneration and survival. Scientists measure the size, shape, and internal structure of cells and fuse them with a growth medium. In this state, the cell fusion will remain for 6 days, 12 days, and 18 days. Finally, the researchers will measure the concentration of beta-galactosidase, the most important substance responsible for aging.
