According to China Customs statistics, in the first half of the year, China's medical device trade volume was US$18.87 billion, a year-on-year increase of 3.3%, and the year-on-year growth rate fell by 4.2 percentage points. Among them, the export value was 9.9 billion U.S. dollars, down 2.1% year-on-year. The growth rate was 7.8 percentage points lower than the same period of last year. The export declined for the first time in 5 years. The import value was 8.971 billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 9.87%, and the growth rate remained basically the same as in previous years. From a single market point of view, the United States, Japan, and Hong Kong are China's major export markets, with exports of 3.98 billion US dollars, accounting for 40.2% of China's total exports. Among the top ten markets for export, the markets of Hong Kong, South Korea, India, France and the United Kingdom increased slightly, and the markets of the United States, Japan, the Netherlands, Australia and Germany all declined. The US market is particularly evident, with exports accounting for 26% and down 6.32% year-on-year. This is mainly due to the uncertainty of the US economic recovery in the first half of the year. The core inflation rate has not been close to the expected 2%, resulting in insufficient overall demand.
