Excessive nitrogen hazards in autumn and winter crops

<

For a long time, farmers have generally focused on chemical fertilizers and light organic fertilizers for farmers, and the same applies to autumn and winter crops. Farmers suspect that farmyard manure covers a large area, is difficult to transport, and is inconvenient to use, and it is not as effective as chemical fertilizers for premature emergence of wheat seedlings and other crops. Therefore, when some farmers are accustomed to sowing of autumn and winter crops, they apply 80-100 kg of ammonium bicarbonate per acre or urea. 60-80 kg, this single application of nitrogen fertilizer method often has adverse consequences.

The first is to reduce the utilization of chemical fertilizers.

The application of ammonium bicarbonate and urea is too much, the soil is difficult to adsorb and preserve, and the crop is also difficult to absorb in a short time. When it rains, it will melt and infiltrate and cause fertilizer loss.

The second is to reduce the cold resistance of autumn and winter crops.

Excessive application of these nitrogen fertilizers will accelerate the extraction and growth of the leaves, leading to imbalances in the ratio of carbon and nitrogen in the crops and the reduction of carbon compounds in the crops. This will cause crops such as wheat seedlings to grow wild and have poor cold resistance. Nitrogen fertilizer is applied in the soil tillage layer. The roots of autumn and winter crops are absorbed and utilized. The roots no longer grow downwards and deepen, forming the roots of “inertia”, resulting in short roots and reducing the drought resistance and lodging resistance of the crops.

The third is to reduce the number of basic seedlings.

Nitrogen fertilizer is too much, easy to spread unevenly, lightly affect germination and emergence, while heavy cause burning, rooting and lack of seedling off ridge, resulting in winter seed crops lack of basic seedlings, is bound to affect the next year's output.

The fourth is to cause soil compaction. Urea and ammonium bicarbonate are chemically pure and organic. If a large number of applications are applied without applying organic fertilizers, or if the crops are not properly planted, the organic matter in the soil will be consumed year by year. Without timely replenishment, the soil will harden and the cultivation performance will decline.
