Infervision is working on groundbreaking efforts to diagnose and treat strokes with machine learning algorithms. The artificial intelligence medical imaging company has completed a successful pilot of the Head CT Augmented Screening platform. Infervision hopes to make this technology fast and save lives by allowing doctors to diagnose strokes more quickly and accurately, and to assess the damage caused by strokes. In addition to this successful case of machine learning to detect stroke, it has been previously reported that Infervision's platform can detect early signs of lung cancer in X-ray and CT scans. Infervision uses more than 100,000 annotated medical image scans to train the algorithm, which yields more implementation data to more effectively diagnose two major types of strokes – hemorrhagic stroke and ischemic stroke. Chen Kuan, founder and CEO of Infervision, said: "X-rays are a very old way of detecting. For example, in China, no one has been in the chest X-ray examination at the academic conference for more than 15 years. Until the recent arrival of artificial intelligence, Artificial intelligence helps radiologists discover problems they could not see before. So we are very proud to see radiologists begin to discuss some very interesting and magical cases involving artificial intelligence."
