This standard is applicable to ultraviolet disinfection equipment for drinking water, drinking water, urban sewage treatment plant water, urban sewage recycling water, and industrial wastewater treatment station.

1. The continuous operation or cumulative operating life of low-voltage lamps and low-voltage high-intensity lamps in UV disinfection equipment shall not be less than 12000h; the continuous operation or cumulative operating life of medium-pressure lamps shall not be less than 3000h.

2. After the UV lamp aging factor has been verified by a qualified third party, the UV-effective dose of the device can be calculated using the aging factor passed. If the aging factor of the UV lamp is not verified by a qualified third party, the UV effective dose should be calculated using the default value of 0.5 as the UV lamp aging factor.

2 UV lamp cleaning

1. Cleaning methods include manual cleaning, online mechanical cleaning, online mechanical plus chemical cleaning. In sewage treatment applications, on-line mechanical and chemical cleaning should be used.

2. The cleaning frequency is between 1/500 h and 1/h.
