Midsummer Tree Grafting Method

<

In the spring, jujube trees that have not yet survived can be patched in the summer, and they can be received from July until September. The survival rate is as high as 80%.

Grafting time in summer is generally from early July to late September. The grafting time is too early, the sprouting development is not substantial, and the degree of lignification of the scion is low. When the grafting time is too late, the interface will heal slowly and the survival rate will be low.

Grafting: Choose wild jujube seedlings with strong growth, no pests and diseases, and base stems of 0.5 cm or more as rootstocks; cut strong, disease-free pests, buds and eyes that have been wooded as current scion, and the diameter is 0.4-0.6 cm. Cut the leaves left petiole; scion preservation, in order to facilitate storage and transportation, the scion can be cut into small pieces of 20 to 30 cm long, buried with wet sand or moistened with wet sack sheet, and timely water.

The grafting method adopts the method of sprouting with rootstock. Firstly, select the bud-bearing site on the rootstock to cross-cut a knife and reach deep into the xylem, then cut the "T"-shaped interface 1.5 to 2 cm long from top to bottom; 0.5 above the scions Cross a knife at a centimeter, deep wood 1~1.5 centimeters, quickly cut down the bud from the bottom up with a knife, the length is slightly shorter than the interface on the rootstock, will be attached to the rootstock in the "T" shaped interface, so that buds The forming layer of the sheet is aligned with the forming layer of the rootstock (the top is aligned with one side) and tied with a 0.5 cm wide plastic strip.

After grafting, 15 to 20 days after grafting, check whether it survives or not. The survival seedlings were cut into anvils at 2 to 2.5 cm above the shoots in the spring of the following year, and plastic strips were removed to promote the survival and germination of the grafted shoots.
