First, prevent shallow water

Less rain in winter, it is very easy to cause the water level in the fish pond to reduce obviously. In winter, the water in the fish pond is shallow, the water temperature changes quickly, and the temperature difference is large, which will bring disadvantage to the growth of the fish.

Second, prevent hypoxia

Under normal circumstances, after entering the winter each year, the occurrence of flooding ponds in ponds has been significantly reduced, which is significantly less than the summer and early autumn high temperature seasons. However, some ponds will also have flooding pools in winter, such as fish ponds in fertilizer ponds, fishes in deep-water ponds, and fishes raised in cages. Under these circumstances, fish often suffer from winter anoxic floating heads or even serious deaths due to neglect of management, causing large economic losses to fish farmers. The reason is that when the temperature drops, the water temperature in the deep-water, fertilizer-water, and cage high-density culture waters is lower than the water temperature in the lower layer, and its proportion is also higher than that in the lower layer, causing the surface to sink and sink, and the lower layer floats on the water to form the vertical convection of the water body. . The deep-water layer of the water body is anoxic or even oxygen-free, and the lack of oxygen and oxygen-free water bodies will cause serious oxygen deficiency in the upper water body. At the same time, this vertical movement of the water accelerates the oxidative decomposition of organic matter, such as baits and feces deposited on the bottom of the pond, and increases the oxygen consumption within the water body. With less sunlight in the winter, the photosynthesis of phytoplankton in the water is weak, and the oxygen produced is insufficient. This often results in insufficient oxygen in the culture environment. In addition to the high density of fish, it is prone to hypoxia floating heads and even death.

Third, antifreeze damage

In the cold winter, frozen winter fish species are often chilled. How can we avoid this? These methods can be used to avoid cold and warming: First, set aside obstacles and avoid damage. In the north side of the fish pond, use wood and bamboo sticks to pile on a woven bag or straw and set up an artificial barrier to resist the north wind. The second is to warm up the manure and invest about 500 kilograms of livestock and poultry manure per acre of water. Use the principle of fertilizer fermentation, decomposition, heat release to increase the water temperature. The third is smoking and heating. During the daytime, the north wind whistling is a precursor to frost at night. Wet straw and firewood can be piled on the shore of fish ponds to create a warm atmosphere and reduce the degree of frost. The fourth is to put water plants and put a certain amount of plants in the fish ponds in winter to allow the fish to warm up in the grass.
