At the end of 2014, researchers found a site in the gene that could cause the development of the rabbit's lips. This site is located on chromosome 16, encoded as rs8049367, between the CREBBP gene and the ADCY9 gene.

Dr. Wang introduced that only five or six teams in the world were studying the genes involved in congenital cleft lip and palate, and they were all European and American countries. He said that foreign experts have found 12 genetic loci, but only for Westerners. "This time we found the 13th place, and it is only suspected of being sick to the Chinese."

Follow up with thousands of samples to scan millions of genes

Dr. Wang recalled that researchers went to Ningxia, Guangzhou, Nanjing and other places to conduct questionnaire surveys and biochip scans on 2,500 patients with cleft lip and palate and 3,100 normal people. “This is a very large survey, and it is the first time in Asia.”

“There are too many questionnaires and they are numb.” Once in the Ningxia investigation, Dr. Wang originally asked “Whether he would sweat when he was sleeping”, and the result was “Will you sleep when you sweat?” After a face stunned.
